A Brazilian female who went under a womb transplant and received womb from a dead donor has recently given birth and made history as it is one of its kind till now. The baby is a little girl who is healthy she is regarded as a wonder because it nearly seemed impossible to reproduce from a transplanted uterus. The transplant involves adjoining the veins of the uterus with the veins and arteries of the receivers. The entire journey is issued in The Lancet medical journal. There were more ten previous cases of such transplant from all over the country including countries like United States, turkey and even Czech Republic but none of them were able to reproduce. The doctors stated that the baby girl was born within the 35th week and three days of the pregnancy reported with the process of caesarean and weighed almost 6 lbs. to be accurate 2,550 grams. A doctor at the Brazil’s Sao Paulo University, Dani Eizenberg gave insights about the transplant and informed that the transplant was completed in the month of the September in the year 2016. This study will be a revolution because many women who are detected as infertile can benefit after the process of transplant but there are certain rules and condition if female wishes to undergo transplant is that the uterus should be received from a living family member who is ready to donate. The rule is set as there are very few people who are ready to donate the organs when they are alive as compared to the people who have committed to donate after their deaths. But the doctors still believe that all the aspects of receiving an organ from dead or alive are yet to be discovered and need to study through many more researches. The first ever case of giving birth to a baby after receiving a womb from a alive female was recorded in 2013 in Sweden while till date there have been 11 such births recorded. The common of infertility is now considered common in females as almost one out of 500 females faces uterus problems and about 15 percent of the reproductive age couples have to suffer through it. Before the chances of getting of womb transplant existed the only options that people had were surrogacies or adoption. In the recent case of the Brazilian women, the mother was born without a uterus because of the syndrome known as Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser and the donor passed away due to a stroke. The Brazilian female went through medical test regularly and depicted healthy conditions, regular menstruation and after seven months and 10 days she was pregnant. When the baby girl was seven months and 20 days old the report was submitted while she weighed almost 7.2 kgs and was on breastfeeding.
